Tzofiah Organizational Profile
Directors and Founders, Rabbi Raviv and Basy Shaked Rabbi and Mrs. Shaked, founders and directors of Tzofiah, were both raised in homes where kiruv and chinuch were a way of life. They have both been involved in chinuch in various capacities throughout the years. Rabbi Shaked's experiences range from teaching at-risk Jewish boys at Yeshivas Darkei Shalom to teaching elementary school age children Torah and Alef Bais at Toras HaBayis, a cheder in Beit Shemesh. Before starting Tzofiah with her husband, Basy Shaked was busy running a kindergarten and raising her family. Mrs. Shaked has been working with at-risk girls from religious homes who are referred by educators, friends, and rabbis, including Rabbi Ezriel Tauber. Mrs. Shaked's open and understanding personality provided the love, guidance, shelter and understanding that they were yearning for.
